Perrelet Double Rotor Line

       A prestigious watch-making powerhouse, created in 1777, by a visionary young watchmaker, Abraham-Louis Perrelet, one of the respected fathers of today Haute Horology better known for inventing the self-winding mechanical movement.

       Following the footsteps of their great ancestor, the brand’s skilled watchmakers always strived to impress watch collectors, with innovative horological complications, sophisticated aesthetics and unmatched quality.

       Recently the brand enriched one of its quintessential collections par excellence- the Perrelet Double Rotor Gents Line, a collection, which boasts extraordinary mechanical sophistication, accommodating a Perrelet patented complication –the double rotor, which can be admired on the watch’s dial and which is furthermore synchronized with a lower rotor conferring thus, a winding efficiency, superior to that of classical movements.

       The new Perrelet Double Rotor Line comprises three superb new models, performed in stainless steel, which demonstrate a nice combination of elegant soft curves and brushed and polished surfaces. The cases measure 40 mm in diameter and ensure a good 50 meters water resistance, though I doubt that anyone would actually swim or dive wearing any of these dressy timepieces.

       The classy architecture of the cases beautifully frames the stylish dials performed in black or silver, and nicely completed with applied hour indices and faceted hands with central luminescent inserts, however the chocolate dial variation is matched with classy rose gold, applied indices and hands. The models ensure central hours, minutes and seconds as well as a date complication presented through a square aperture, located at 6 o’clock.

       The timepieces are animated by the exceptional, caliber P-181, a self-winding mechanical movement, which provides optimal timekeeping accuracy and reliability, as well as a 40-hours power reserve.

       Furthermore, designed to bring a plus of charisma to an elegant outfit, the models embrace a gentleman’s wrist with classy alligator leather straps, performed in black or brown, but they are available in more masculine steel bracelet variations.

       I think it is worth mentioning that the model is available in a larger and sportier titanium version, measuring 43 mm in diameter, and matched with a black rubber strap; as for the price tag, will probably range somewhere around $3,600.00.
