Corum Admiral’s Cup Black Hull 48

A brand that traces its roots back to the cradle of the Haute Horology, in the Swiss Jura Mountains, in Chaux-de-Fonds, Corum is a relatively young watch-making brand known for its charismatic, profoundly original and forward-thinking approach to watch-making design. In less than 60 years of existence, Corum built a solid reputation among the most respected members of the fine watch-making industry, and managed to impress both peers and collectors with exquisite pieces of audacious originality and impeccable quality.

For this dynamic watchmaker, the design of a new model has always been regarded as a great challenge and a mysterious journey towards perfection. In addition to the brand’s iconic Admiral’s Cup collection, launched in the 1960s, Corum brought to life another fascinating nautical inspired model defined technical and aesthetical excellence- the new Corum Admiral’s Cup Black Hull 48.

A sporty timepiece, designed for a powerful charismatic man, the new Admiral’s Cup Black Hull 48 Chronograph is the ideal timekeeping companion, especially created for tracking small time intervals with extreme accuracy.

The timepiece features the brand’s signature, 12-sided case, measuring 48 mm in diameter, manufactured from ultra-light and resistant titanium, which has been entirely covered in deep black PVD coating. The timepiece also features unique push buttons and a titanium crown bearing the brand’s logo; moreover, the case’s construction incorporates a black vulcanized rubber bezel and a convex sapphire crystal, treated with anti-reflective substances. The timepiece features a screw-down case-back that ensures a remarkable water-resistance of 300-meters and which was personalized with the Admiral’s Cup trophy.

The timepiece features a sober sporty black dial fitted with Arabic numeral hour markers combined with chevrons (numerals of the International maritime Code of Signals) fitted, for perfect time-legibility in poor light conditions, with black luminescent coating. The timepiece features a lacquered chronograph seconds hand positioned in the dial’s center, which, features as a counterweight, the emblematic Corum key. The timepiece features minute’s chronograph counter, located at 3 o’clock position, hours counter, at 6 o’clock and a small seconds chronograph counter located at 9 o’clock, at 4:30 location there is a small date-aperture.

The remarkable Corum Admiral’s Cup Black Hull 48 is animated by a high-quality COSC-certified, automatic-winding mechanical chronograph movement – the CO-753 caliber that oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour conferring the advantage of 42-hour power reserve. Moreover, the timepiece comes coupled with a sporty black vulcanized rubber strap and it is available for an approximate price of $8,000.00.
