A very new member of the Swiss fine watch-making industry, very famous amongst very few people, launched in 1996, Bedat & C° is a family-owned manufacture, which targets a niche clientele, keen on exceptional, luxurious design and impeccable Swiss-made mechanical sophistication.
The brand started its existence due to a young enthusiast entrepreneur named Christian Bédat and his creative mother Simone, who dedicated their lives to developing amazing wristwatches characterized by an unmistakable, Art Deco inspired, harmonious combination of lines, shapes and textures, which masterfully blend into a perfect expression of horological art.
Over the years, the brand brought to life countless amazing gents models, characterized by contemporary elegance and unpretentious luxury, and the new Bedat & C° 787.310.810 Watch, belonging to the latest collection signed Bedat & C°, the remarkable No 7, makes a great example of the brand’s aesthetic beliefs and watchmaking mastery.
Inspired by the powerful symbolism of the number 7, many times associated with the succession of generations, completion, awareness and maturity, the sophisticated Bedat & C° 787.310.810 Watch features a sophisticated rectangular case, performed in three gold tones. It features an 18-karat pink gold bezel, a yellow gold middle part and white gold case-back and “Thumbtack” crown, and demonstrates an interesting combination of soft curves and straight lines, enhanced by the high-end satin-polished finish. In addition, the case incorporates a high-quality Bisauté Sapphire crystal and confers 50-meters water resistance.
The sophisticated Art Deco inspired design was brought into the watch’s beige dial, nicely decorated with high-end Cote-de-Genève guilloche pattern, and completed with black Arabic numeral hour markers, steel applied hour indices, and yellow gold-colored steel delta and baton-shaped hands, with central luminescent inserts. Asides from central hours, minutes and seconds functions, the model also displays date at 12 o’clock and a second time zone presented in a sub-dial at 6 o’clock.
The model accommodates a top-class self-winding mechanical movement, the Calibre ETA 2004.1, which features a double time-zone complication, created by Antoine Prezusio, and which confers a reliable 42-hour power reserve.
A sophisticated collectable item, suited to accompany an impassionate watch collector, the new Bedat & C° 787.310.810 Watch embraces the wrist, with a Rolled-edge hand stitched brown alligator strap with gold folding clasp. As far as the price tag goes, we expect it to be somewhere around $14,000.00.
