Atlantic Mariner Chrono

Created during the last decades of the 19th century in a small Swiss town called Bettlach, by a young enthusiast entrepreneur, Eduard Kummer, Atlantic is currently one of the most respected members of today luxury watch-making industry that entered into this elitist world as a manufacturer of pocket-watch components.

However, Atlantic gradually evolved into a full-formed watchmaking brand driven by a revolutionary spirit, and, in about 120 years of existence, the brand experienced a very successful evolution, earning a well-grounded place among the most respected members of today Haute Horology.

Surely, a watch-enthusiast will be interested to know that Atlantic patented the mechanism used for changing the date in the self-winding mechanical movement – the speed-switch system, and that the brand was actually among the pioneers in the production of the waterproof timepieces, and of the automatic watches.

That is how, in more than a century of existence, the brand remained fateful to its life-guiding philosophy and fine watch-making traditions, always being among the pioneers of this elitist industry, and the eye-catching new addition to the brand’s iconic Mariner watch collection, the sporty Atlantic Mariner Chrono Watch, is a great example of the brand mastery and expertise.

Available in over ten variations, the stylish Atlantic Mariner Chrono Watch features a robust stainless steel case, which demonstrates a nice combination of brushed and polished surfaces, and which incorporates a variously colored bezel fitted with tachymeter scale. Moreover, the model incorporates a screw-in winding crown, with crown protection, chronograph push pieces, and a screw-in, steel case-back, which allows the timepiece to provide 200-meter water resistance.

The sporty, Atlantic Mariner Chrono Watch comes fitted with a sophisticated dial, available in many attractive colors, which features baton-shaped luminescent hands, and hour indices, and which ensures central hours, minutes and seconds functions, along 30-minutes, 12-hours and 60-seconds chronograph functions presented at 9, 3, respectively 6 o’clock positions. Furthermore, the timepiece also ensures a date function, presented through a small aperture at 6 o’clock.

In addition, we have to mention that the timepiece is animated by a high-precision ETA- quartz chronograph movement, the Caliber 251.272, which ensures optimal timekeeping accuracy and reliability; the watch is secured to the wrist with a stylish metallic bracelet, and it will probably cost less than $1,000.
