Atlantic Blackshark Diver’s Watch

A luxury watch-making brand, headquartered in the cradle of today Haute Horology in Bettlach near Grenchen, Switzerland, Atlantic was founded by Eduard Kummer a visionary mind of his time and, initially manufactured just pocket-watches components.

Nevertheless, through the years, Atlantic crated many remarkable timepieces, characterized by unmatched elegance and refinement as well as by pioneering mechanical sophistication. And, it’s worth mentioning that Atlantic was the very first manufacture to use the automatic winding movement, or the water-proofing technology, as well as the brand that patented the speed-switch system that, up to this day, changes the date in automatic watches.

Preserving unaltered the maritime theme of its iconic Seashark Collection the brand introduced another superb chronograph model- the new Atlantic Blackshark watch characterized by a powerful masculine design and unmatched reliability and functionality. The bold timepiece boasts remarkable 300-meters water-resistance and, ensures central hours, minutes and seconds functions as well as date, tachometer and chronograph functions being a great timekeeping companion for an impassionate, amateur or professional diver, whether on ocean’s depths or in more casual circumstances.

The timepiece features a sturdy case, manufactured from black PVD-treated steel, which measures 44 mm in diameter, and which incorporates a unidirectional rotating bezel.

The powerful black silhouette of the timepiece, beautifully frames the model’s black dial, decorated with high-end wave pattern. The timepiece features luminescent hour and minutes hands as well as dot-like hour indices, conferring optimal time-legibility in poor light conditions. The watch features three chronograph counters located at 2, 10 and 6 o’clock positions, for 12-hours, 30-minutes and, respectively 60-seconds. Moreover, the timepiece also displays date, through a small aperture located at 6 o’clock, and features a double thick, glare and scratchproof sapphire crystal.

The watch is animated by a high-quality quartz chronograph movement, the ETA 251.272, which provides long-term reliability and timekeeping accuracy.

Especially created for a venturesome diver, the watch comes with a powerfully masculine PVD-coated steel bracelet, fitted with the brand’s signature Seashark decoration, and it will be available for an approximate price tag of $779.00.
