        Zenith Academy Open Repetition Minutes watch, is a model designed to pay a great tribute to the first minute-repeater models created over three centuries ago; it unites the emblematic EI Primero Chronograph with a Minute Repeater mechanism resulting thus, a highly complicated timepiece which accommodates the new Zenith 4043 caliber, a fascinating mechanism which confers a 50-hours power reserve. In order to merge the two complications, the brand’s engineering team patented a system which enables the chiming mechanism to rotate around the chronograph’s axes. The timepiece creates a distinctive chime for hours, minutes and quarter hours- low, high and respectively double tone sounds mark the passage of these time intervals. The seductive architecture of the repeater’s dial unfurls a fascinating accumulation of apertures which allow the astound eye of the viewer to peek inside the beautiful mechanism and look at the marvelous dance of hammers.

        The beautiful model is hosted by a 44 mm in diameter, classy masculine case, manufactured from 18 karat solid gold.

        The repeater was manufactured in two versions: the first is an elegant rose gold model fitted with silver dial adorned with hand-guilloche pattern, and the second approaches a more contemporary style combining a white gold case with a translucent dial.

        The intricate design of the dial comprises 18 karat hand-mounted appliquéd both hour indices and Roman numerals hour markers. The watch displays central hours and minutes, it features a small second’s counter located at 9 o’clock position, central seconds chronograph hand, 12-hours counter located at 6 o’clock and 30 minutes counter located at 3 o’clock. The clean classy aspect of the models is, furthermore completed by an elegant black crocodile leather strap fitted with calfskin for an ultimate sensation of comfort, it also features a sapphire crystal case-back which reveals the operating mechanism; it ensures a 30-meters water resistance and comes for a price of approximately $176,000.00.
