Seiko Arctura Retrograde Date Kinetic

An amazing success story, Seiko is a prestigious Japanese Watch-making powerhouse, which traces its roots back to the end of the 19th century, when it was created by a visionary man of his time, Kintaro Hattori, an enthusiast entrepreneur who created his own watches and jewelry store.

Hattori’s small business gradually evolved until, 11 years later became a genuine watch-manufacture, producing high-quality timepieces under the Seikosha trademark, a name derived from the Japanese word for minute, success or exquisite. However, the name Seiko started to be used in the mid 1920s, when the brand experienced a rapid development, entering the elitist world of the Haute Horology as the firths watch-making brand in the world that produced a quartz chronograph movement, and a wristwatch capable of withstanding the challenging conditions of the outer space.

Through the years, the brand produced countless timepieces defined by powerful sporty sophistication, technically innovative nature, and impeccable timekeeping accuracy, functionality, and reliability, extremely appreciated by the watch’s enthusiast customers worldwide.

Recently the brand brought another superb addition to its highly appreciated Seiko Arctura Watch Line, an impressive new model animated by a high precision Kinetic movement, which ensures remarkable timekeeping accuracy and long-term reliability, the brand’s in-house Caliber 5M54-0AB0.

The new Seiko Arctura Retrograde Kinetic Watch features a powerful masculine case, measuring 43.5 mm in diameter x 12 mm thickness, performed in stainless steel, which demonstrates a nice combination of soft curves and beveled edges. The stylish architecture of the case incorporates a glare-proof sapphire crystal and a screwed-down case back, and ensures a good 100-meters water resistance, making the timepiece suitable for swimming and superficial diving.

The watch features a stylish black or silver dial decorated with striped guilloche pattern, and nicely completed with applied steel hour indices and sward-shaped hour and minutes hands with central luminescent inserts. Furthermore, as a special detail touch, the watch features blued-steel seconds hands, and it displays a day complication, through a counter located between 4 and 5 o’clock positions, and date, through a square window, positioned at 3 o’clock.

The perfect timekeeping companion for a modern man, the new Seiko Arctura Retrograde Kinetic Watch is secured to the wrist with a stainless steel masculine bracelet, however, it features variations matched with a black rubber strap. As far as the price tag is concerned, the timepiece will be available for an approximate sum of $500.00.
