Rolex Yacht-Master II Watch

Launched in 1905, in Switzerland by two visionary entrepreneurs of the time, Alfred David and Hans Wilsdorf, Rolex is now the largest and best-known luxury watch-making brand in the world, creating about 2000 watches per day.

Among the watch connoisseurs worldwide, the brand soon became associated with the highest edge of aesthetical perfection and mechanical purity. Always fateful to its life guiding principles and philosophy, Rolex created iconic watch lines characterized by irreproachable precision, mechanical sophistication and vintage sobriety and refinement.

First introduced in 1993, the Rolex Yacht-Master Watch Line based on the iconic Rolex Submariner Watch Line experienced great market success, and recently received another remarkable addition the eye-catching Rolex Yacht-Master II.

The remarkable Rolex Yacht-Master II was designed to pay a great tribute to the adrenalin-inflicting world of nautical sports, and boat racing competitions-regatta. The watch ensures a programmable 10-minutes countdown function- time interval crucial in a boat race- given to the competitors to prepare the boats for the race. The timepiece features a sturdy masculine case measuring 43 mm in diameter, manufactured from 18-karat yellow gold, which makes a powerful contrast against the 90-degrees rotating blue ceramic bezel. A timepiece especially designed for a professional sailor, the new Rolex Yacht-Master II has 100-meters water resistance.

The countdown function works in conjunction with the main red second’s hand and the red tipped additional hand which make a nice contrast against the timepiece’s white dial, fitted with yellow gold applied hour indices. Moreover, the timepiece displays small seconds counter at 6 o’clock position.

The new Rolex Yacht-Master II accommodates an in-house, COSC-certified, self-winding Rolex Caliber 4160 movement that oscillates at a rate of 28,800 beats per hour and provides up to 72 hours power-reserve. Moreover, the timepiece comes coupled with a stylish masculine 18-karat yellow gold bracelet.

Designed for a genuine Rolex fan, keen of regatta competitions and on the classy Rolex aesthetics, the new Rolex Yacht-Master II does not actually bring a plus in functionality compared with other less expensive watches. And, some would say it is not quite easy to handle, but this will be a small inconvenient for the adventurous man who can pay the watch’s fairly exclusive price of approximate $33,000.00.
