Maybe the most notorious watchmaking brand in the world, known as an international icon of class and luxury, Rolex traces its roots back to 1905 Switzerland, where two ambitious entrepreneurs, Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred David, launched their small watch manufacture.
Through the years, Rolex gradually developed into a respected powerhouse, which manufactures over 2000 timepieces a day, and which, never ceased to elevate the standards of watchmaking quality, reliability and functionality, through creating spectacular timepieces, characterized by unmatched timekeeping accuracy, unmistakable elegant design and unmatched mechanical sophistication.
Although, Rolex Watches mainly targeted a masculine audience, keen on impressive finish, chronometer-certified precision and horological complications, the brand also dedicated a lot of time and energy to create refined models for ladies, which masterfully combine the same mechanical complexity, feminine exuberance and audacity.
At BaselWorld 2011, Rolex introduced another delightful addition to its iconic Rolex Oyster Perpetual Watch Collection, a charming new ladies model, the sophisticated Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Everose Gold Special Edition.
Preserving the Oyster Perpetual DNA, the model demonstrates the same classic appeal, and the collection’s unmistakable case-shape, measuring 34 mm in diameter, nicely performed in satin-polished, 18-karat Everose gold. The delicate architecture of the case incorporates a fluted crown and a diamond-embellished bezel, set with 12, brilliant-cut, white diamonds, with an approximate weight of 0.39 karats, and confers a reliable 100-meters water resistance.
The model demonstrates a dainty dial embellished with the superb Goldust Dream motif created through the 18-karat pink gold dust deposition on white nacre, a technique which confers the dial a plus of refinement and sophistication. Moreover, the dial is completed with baton-shaped hands, applied gold Roman numeral hour indices, the brand’s crowned logo, located at 12 o’clock, counterbalanced by a diamond-set roman numeral, which indicates the 6 o’clock location.
At the heart of the opulent Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust Everose Gold Special Edition beats a top-class self-winding mechanical movement, which ensures central hours, minutes and seconds functions, and big date presented at 3 o’clock, beneath a magnifying lens.
The model embraces the wrist with a stylish 18-karat Everose bracelet; as far as the price tag is concerned, we expect that the model will be available for an approximate price tag around $10,000.00.
