      The “Jumping Hour” is a new exquisite watch from the Don Giovanni Cosi Grande collection created by Raymond Weil. This elegant timepiece has a modern design and it is very sophisticated from the mechanical point of view. It was first launched on the market at Baseworld 2009.

      The Raymond Weil Don Giovanni Cosi Grande ”Jumping Hour” watch features a rectangular case measuring 50mm wide and crafted from polished steel. The dial was designed in a very modern way. The classical hour hand was replaced by a large window placed at 12 o’clock with a disc displaying the numbers of the hours. Every 60 minutes the number “jumps” and you can very easily read the hour in the window. Two sub-dials, framed by diamond-shaped applique forming a figure 8, display the minutes and the seconds. Their silver outlines contrast elegantly with the black background of the dial. The hour markers are also silver and they are presented in Arabic numerals of different sizes surmounted by 12 luminescent matter points.       The watch has a mechanical automatic movement with RW 1400 which provides the interesting jumping hour system. The frequency of the movement is of 28 800 vibrations per hour. This mechanism, can be observed through the screwed case-back fitted with sapphire crystal. The bridges feature circular-graining and the central rotor a Cote de Geneve decor. Aside from this, the “Jumping Hour” watch has a 24-hour power reserve and it is water resistant to 30 meters.
