Raymond Weil Nabucco Sports-Styled

Founded in 1976 in Switzerland, Raymond Weil is a prestigious watch-making brand, with a very interesting success story. At the age of 50, an enthusiast entrepreneur, Raymond Weil, who benefitted from a life-long experience in the watch-making business, created his own family company venturing across Europe with the brand’s first models in his suitcase, he slowly raised awareness about his outstanding horological creations and, therefore created an international market.

The brand’s watches instantly captured the public’s attention due to their innovative nature characterized by clean elegance and remarkable distinction. Throughout its rather short history, the brand soon became one of the most respected Swiss watch-making powerhouses, generally known as a trendsetter of this exclusive industry and as an extremely popular brand among the watch connoisseurs worldwide due to the immaculate quality and mechanical sophistication of their timepieces. Recently the brand’s iconic Nabucco Watch Line, received another remarkable addition, the new Nabucco Chronograph, a sporty timepiece destined for a charismatic gentleman of the 21st century.

The contemporary watch features a slightly oversized case, measuring 46 mm in diameter and boasts 200 meters water-resistance. The watchmaker used for the sturdy construction of the case, high-tech carbon fiber ingeniously incorporated in the stainless steel structure of the case.

Remaining fateful to its life-guiding principles, Raymond Weil created another timepiece that reveals the brand’s emblematic attention to the purity of every detail, thus achieving a wristwatch that demonstrates unique symmetry and remarkable coherence. The new Nabucco Chronograph reveals matching carbon fiber bracelet, case and black dial. The original architecture of the case provides an interesting combination of contrasts between circular/vertical, brushed and polished surfaces of the watch’s components- case, bezel and bracelet.

The new and charismatic Raymond Weil Nabucco Chronograph features a black dial individualized by three screws positioned around the chronograph counters, the dial also features a “12” Arabic numeral hour marker and eleven polished applied hour indices fitted with luminescent coating for optimal time-legibility in poor or no light conditions. The contemporary color scheme of the dial frames the 30-minutes counter, positioned at 3 o’clock, the hour-counter placed at 6 o’clock and the second’s sub-dial located at 9 o’clock. The timepiece also incorporates a small date aperture at 4:30 position.

The bezel of the timepiece is worth special attention as it proves the watchmaker’s mastery; its upper part features a tachometer scale embedded on the brushed surface of the bezel while the bezel’s exterior features Godron motif, which combines polished surfaces with brushed vertical bars. This stylish timepiece, designed for a dynamic and sophisticated man of the 21 century, accommodates the high frequency, Valjoux 7753 tri-compax chronograph movement, which oscillates at a rate of 28,800 beats per hour and ensures a 46-hours power reserve, all for a faire price of $4,660.00.
