Panerai Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Giorni

A prestigious Italian watch-making powerhouse, currently owned, since 1997, by the Richemont International SA, Officine Panerai was created in Italy, Florence, in the second half of the 19th century, and ever since, it never ceased to create impressive timepieces defined by timeless elegance, fresh moderns design, and impeccable timekeeping accuracy and reliability.

Nowadays, the brand creates its timepieces in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, according to the life-guiding principles of its visionary creator, Giovani Panerai, and uses, along the high-quality in house movements, the beautifully decorated ETA calibers.

Recently, the brand released a limited edition of 1500 timepieces belonging to the brand’s highly appreciated Radiomir Collection– the new 2010 Special Edition, Panerai Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Giorni, a daring sporty line, which emanates dynamism and masculinity.

The timepiece features a robust cushion-shaped dark matt brown case, measuring 47 mm in diameter, which was manufactured from a high-tech interesting material obtained through the electrochemical ceramization of aluminum. This technological process is in itself a novelty for the fine watch making industry, and, if the traditional methods assume applying ceramic particles into the metal, Panerai produces this deep hued, high-tech material, by immersing the aluminum case in a chemical bath, where it undergoes ceramization- the process that creates an extremely light and resistant material. Furthermore, the timepiece is equipped with Panerai patented wire loop strap-attachments, and provides a remarkable 100-meters water resistance, making the timepiece suitable for swimming, and amateur diving.

The timepiece features a matching dark brown dial, nicely completed with luminescent Arabic numeral hour markers, and indices performed in cream, as well as the watch’s hour and minutes hands. Furthermore, the timepiece displays small seconds, through a counter, located at 9 o’clock.

At the heart of the stylish Panerai Radiomir Composite Marina Militare 8 Giorni, 2010 Special Edition, beats a high precision hand wound mechanical movement, the Panerai P.2002/7 caliber, equipped with the KIF Parechoc® anti-shock device, and which incorporates 21 jewels, and which oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 alternations per second conferring a stunning 8 days power reserve.

Especially created to meet the needs of a charismatic modern man, the new Panerai Radiomir model embraces the wrist with Panerai personalized brown leather strap, and will probably available for an approximate price tag around $15,000.00.
