Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight

Created in the second half of the 19th century in Florence, Italy, Officine Panerai was founded by a visionary spirit of the time –the brilliant Italian entrepreneur, Giovani Panerai, who started its long heirloom of master watchmakers, dedicated to creating outstanding timepieces characterized by unmatched functionality and unmistakable aesthetics. For almost two centuries, the brand has been the pinnacle of Italian fine watch-making industry, and in 1997, it became part of the prestigious Richemont International SA Group.

Nowadays, Officine Panerai manufactures remarkable timepieces in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, merging the Italian bold design concepts with the immaculate quality of both ETA wonderfully adorned calibers and in-house movements.

First introduced in the late 1990s the first Officine Panerai Luminor Chrono model has been an international success, as it embodied the brand’s continuous technological and aesthetical development, masterfully integrating remarkable mechanical sophistication into the brand’s iconic minimalist design. Recently the outstanding Officine Panerai Luminor Chrono Watch Line has been enriched with two new outstanding models the stylish new Officine Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight 00250 and Daylight 00251. The name Daylight started to be used after a famous, Sylvester Stallone movie- Daylight, and it referred, initially to Panerai’s timepieces that featured a white dial, but in time, the name started to be associated with the brand’s remarkable chronographs.

The watches demonstrate the brand’s iconic cushion-shaped stainless steel case, measuring 44 mm in diameter; furthermore, it demonstrates a beautiful combination of brushed and polished surfaces, incorporating a round dial fitted with a tachometer scale accented in black.

Both timepieces feature similar design of the black or white dial, fitted with luminescent hour markers, 12-hours, and 30-minutes chronograph counters, located at 6 o’clock respectively at 3 o’clock; moreover, the timepieces display the date function in a small aperture between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions and a small seconds chronograph counter respectively located at 9 o’clock. The distinctive dials feature luminescent-coated hour-indices and hour hands as well as contrasting black/white Arabic numerals markers. These remarkable chronograph models are equipped with anti-glare treated sapphire crystals and the brand’s trademark crown-protection system, being 100-meters water-resistant.

The models accommodate a high precision Panerai OP XII movement that was based on the iconic Valjoux 7753 movement and oscillates ant a frequency of 28,800 beats per second providing a 46-hours power-reserve. This high-quality movement also ensures a stopwatch function, and it has been COSC-certified official chronometer.

Especially created for a dynamic and sophisticated gentleman of the 21st century, both Officine Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight 00250 and Daylight 00251 provide unmatched functionality and have been designed to bring a plus of individuality to any modern outfit, all for an approximate price ranging around $8,700.00.
