Panerai Luminor 1950 Submersible 3 Days

Launched in the second half of the 19th century in Italy, Florence, Officine Panerai is the master creation of a visionary spirit of his time – Giovani Panerai, an enthusiast entrepreneur who brought to life one of the most respected manufacturers of fine horology worldwide, and the pinnacle of the Italian luxury watch-making industry.

Parented by Richemont International SA since 1997, Officine Panerai produces its timepieces in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, using both in-house movements as well as the beautifully decorated ETA calibers. Through the years, this prestigious watch-making powerhouse gathered a very exclusive clientele due to continuing its long tradition of commitment to creating remarkable timepieces defined by immaculate quality and unmistakable aesthetics.

In order to celebrate a fruitful partnership with the fascinating world of impassionate divers, bound to discover the beauty that lies beneath the sea’s surface, Officine Panerai created another outstanding diver’s watch that intertwines the optimal level of reliability and functionality with the emblematic Panerai powerful masculine design the new Officine Panerai Luminor 1950 Submersible 3 Days Automatic PAM 00305.

First introduced at SIHH 2009, this stylish diver’s watch features a robust cushion-shaped titanium case measuring 47 mm in diameter that demonstrates a sophisticated combination of brushed and polished surfaces. The powerful architecture of the case incorporates a unidirectional rotating bezel, extremely useful in measuring diving time-intervals of up to 60 minutes, also the 15-minute time interval crucial for decompression, is marked with black indices on the bezel, moreover, the watch is shielded by a 4 mm thick sapphire crystal. The sturdy construction of the timepiece confers average 300-meters water-tightness, rather unimpressive compared, for example, with Omega Planet Ocean, or the outstanding Rolex Sea Dweller DEEPSEA that provide 600-meters, respectively 3990-meters water-resistance. This fairly disappointing water-tightness is owed to the watch’s sapphire crystal case-back that reveals the delicate dance of the movement, for the thrill of a true mechanical watches enthusiast.

At the heart of this stylish new Officine Panerai Luminor 1950 Submersible 3 Days Automatic PAM 00305, beats the high-quality, self-winding mechanical movement, the Panerai P. 9000 caliber that oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour conferring, thus a 3-days power reserve.

A superb addition to the brand’s manifaturra line, the timepiece is the perfect timekeeping companion for an amateur diver, and it is available for an approximate price tag of $7,900.00.
