Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Le Chronographe

A remarkable success story, which traces its roots back to the second half of the 20th century, when it started its journey through time in Zurich, Maurice Lacroix, is a youthful watchmaking brand which, in a couple of decades of existence, established a well-grounded place among the most respected members of the Swiss luxury watchmaking industry.

It is noteworthy to mention that, currently the brand located in the Swiss Jura Mountains, is represented in more than 60 countries all over the globe, and that through the years Maurice Lacroix followed a personal life-guiding philosophy dedicated to uncompromising innovation, and watch-making mastery.

Surely, an impassionate fan of the brand will always associate the timepieces signed by Maurice Lacroix, with top-class meticulous finish and high-end contemporary design, which rises to the highest standards of the Swiss luxury watch-making industry.

Nevertheless, the brand only recently presented its first in-house calibers, which thrilled the community of watch connoisseurs worldwide, through their revolutionary nature, through an original approach to the elements of the movement but also, through their impressive meticulous finish and remarkable level of precision.

Released after a couple of years or meticulous study in Maurice Lacroix’s workshops in Saignelégier, ML 106-chronograph is a sophisticated mechanical movement, which exhibits high-end manual decoration as well as an impressive level of watch-making expertise, which thrilled the brand’s enthusiast fans and watch-experts worldwide.

The brand’s skilled engineers brought an original new approach to the movement’s column-wheal, and completely reinterpreted the chronograph chain, adding a release lever that optimizes the output of the chronograph wheal. Moreover, the caliber, measuring 36.6 mm in diameter, incorporates 20 jewels, a superb swan-neck precision adjustment, the sophisticated KIF shock protection system, stainless steel pallet and escapement wheal, and two18-karat gold chatons, along a Glucydur coiled balance wheel, which alternates at a frequency of 18,000 beats per second.

This unique type of movement animates the elegant Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Le Chronographe Watch, which features a stylish yellow gold round case, a white patterned dial that displays traditional central minutes and hours functions, a 60-seconds chronograph¬, located at 9 o’clock, a 60-minutes chronograph positioned at 3 o’clock, and tachymeter scale on a dial outer rim. The model is nicely completed by sharp gold hands with luminescent inserts, blued-steel hands for the chronograph counters, gold applied hour indices and Arabic numeral hour markers, and it embraces the wrist with an elegant brown leather strap.

However, we cannot yet publish an exact price tag, we can mention that the superb Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Le Chronographe Watch is limited to 250 pieces.
