Linde Werdelin Oktopus Black DLC Watch

A very interesting success story, which started with two Danes good friends, Morten Linde and Jorn Werdelin, Linde Werdelin is a young promising watch manufacture, which brought to the world a pioneering concept, which intertwines the traditional sports watch with a digital instrument, designed to help professional skiers or divers in their challenging adventures.

The story of the brand started in the winter of 1996 in the Swiss Alps, when John Werdelin, an impassionate mountaineer, ventured in an off-piste itinerary, and had to confront a sudden weather change, which almost cost him his life.

After this tragic experience, he realized that in the contemporary watch-market, there is room for a high-quality watch instrument capable of providing crucial information in real time but which also retains the style and individuality of a traditional watch; therefore, he turned to his best friend Morten Linde for the development of the concept.

Not long ago, the brand brought another remarkable addition to its outstanding Linde Werdelin Oktopus Diving Watch Collection, the sporty Oktopus DLC Watch, a powerful model, limited to only 88 pieces worldwide.

The model features a robust black DLC-coated, AISI 316 steel case, measuring 46 mm x 49 mm, and 14 mm in thickness, which demonstrates a sporty microbille finish; it incorporates a glare-proof thick sapphire crystal, and a screw-in crown, and ensures an amazing water resistance of 1111-meters, beneath the ocean’s surface.

A sporty dynamic timepiece, the new Linde Werdelin Oktopus DLC Watch demonstrates a highly legible black galvanic dial, decorated with silver print, nicely completed with bold, rhodium-plated hour hands, indices and Arabic numeral hour markers, treated with luminescent substances.

Moreover, at the heart of this impressive timepiece beats a high-quality Swiss-made, ETA 2892-A2 Caliber, which ensures central hours, minutes and seconds functions.

Especially designed to accompany a true diving daredevil in his exhilarating adventures, the new Linde Werdelin Oktopus DLC Watch embraces the wrist with a stylish black leather strap, and it can be combined with one of the brand’s Sea instruments. As far as the price tag is concerned, the timepiece will cost somewhere around $7,420.00, and the instrument somewhere around $2,000.00.
