Through the years, Girard-Perregaux experienced a fruitful intertwinement with the exciting world of motor sports. In order to pay a great tribute to this privileged partnership, the brand created another remarkable retro-styled timepiece dedicated to the Monte-Carlo Rally 1973, the new Girard-Perregaux Monte-Carlo 1973 Flyback Chronograph watch, which will surely impress watch-connoisseurs worldwide through its masculine sporty design and through the brand’s well known mechanical expertise.

The timepiece features a robust stainless steel case, measuring 40 mm in diameter, which revels a nice combination of brushed and polished surfaces, its sophisticated architecture incorporates stalk-like chronograph pushers, a tachymeter engraved bezel and nicely polished lugs.

Moreover, the timepiece features a silver dial with sporty contrasting blue accents, the dial is fitted black chronograph counters and luminescent-coated, applied hour markers, and baton shaped hour hands. Beneath the brand’s logo in the upper part of the watch’s dial, accented in maroon, there is the Monte-Carlo 1973 inscription, which commemorates the a very important moment in the history of the competition. The timepiece features a 30-minutes chronograph counter, located at 9 o’clock position, 12-hours chronograph at 6 o’clock and small seconds counter at 3 o’clock, moreover, the date is presented in a square aperture located at 4:30.

At the heart of this timepiece beats the high-precision, wonderfully decorated self-winding Girard-Perregaux chronograph movement – the GP0337A caliber that oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, providing the advantage of 46-hours power reserve, and which allows the watch’s owner to accurately track independent time intervals with a precision of 1/8 of a second.

The remarkable Girard-Perregaux Monte-Carlo 1973 Flyback Chronograph watch was manufactured in a limited edition of 250 timepieces, it boasts 30 meters water resistance and comes coupled with a stylish alligator leather strap.
