Frederique Constant Manufacture Tourbillon Moonphase

        Launched in the late 80’s Frederique Constant is a youthful member of today’s Haute Horology, a Geneva-based watch-making powerhouse, that in a quarter of a century of history experienced a spectacular development and acquired a well established international reputation of building remarkable timepieces defined by immaculate quality and distinguished appearance.

        Since 2004, when Frederique Constant joined the group of the most respected, top Swiss watch-making powerhouses that manufacture their movements entirely “in house”, the brand recorded a spectacular growth, and the first Frederique Constant exquisite, independent watch line was a real breakthrough for the enthusiast watchmaker, rapidly followed by the countless proofs of watch-making mastery.

        At Baselworld 2008, the brand introduced its first Manufacture Tourbillon caliber, also completely elaborated in-house, which astounded the world of Haute Horology through its innovative nature, and unique combination of inedited characteristics, such as the Silicium escapement wheel. And this year, Frederique Constant launched another sophisticated timepiece, the Manufacture Tourbillon Moonphase Date 24 Silicium watch.

        The superb timepiece is animated by a sophisticated, innovative tourbillon caliber FC-985, independently developed and manufactured by the skilled Frederique Constant engineering team. Being based on the intricate architecture of the iconic Heart Beat Manufacture movement, this sophisticated tourbillon was constructed from 208 individual components.

        The timepiece ensures three basic functions: moon phase displayed through the same counter as the date, located at 12 o’clock position, 24-hour counter fitted with day/night indication, placed at 9 o’clock position.

         The sophisticated model features a beautiful dial, available both in a black contemporary variation fitted with a central elegant engraving and polished applied hour indices, meanwhile the second variation features a more classical approach to this concept, which combines the Clous de Paris guilloche pattern with a stylish silvery dial hue and black lacquered Roman numerals hour markers.

        The new Manufacture Tourbillon Moonphase Date 24 Silicium watch, will be manufactured in a limited series of 188 timepieces sculpted in 18 karat rose gold and just 88 manufactured from 18 karat white gold and it will probably come with a pretty exclusive price tag.
