Rating: 7.6/10 (7 votes cast)

Created in 1988, the Geneva-based company, Frederique Constant, is practically a newcomer in the elitist fine watch-making industry that, through a spectacular evolution, acquiring a well established international reputation, and an enthusiast clientele, highly appreciative of its exquisite timepieces defined by immaculate quality and a sublime aesthetics.

For most watch-connoisseurs, Frederique Constant is a name associated with uncompromising elegant aesthetics, a brand that masterfully combines shapes, hues and textures in order to create the ultimate proof of watch-making artisanship, and to conquer the hearts of impassionate watch-collectors worldwide.

Recently, in order to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the notorious Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, the brand created another superb timepiece, which merges the well-known classic style already characteristic for Frederique Constant with impeccable timekeeping accuracy and reliability – the amazing new Frederique Constant Limited Edition F. Chopin 2010 Watch. It is worth mentioning that the timepiece was produced under the Fryderyk Chopin Institute’s protection.

Dedicated to the famous Polish pianist and composer Frédéric-François Chopin (March 1, 1810 – October 17, 1849), the exquisite timepiece, was issued in a limited edition of 1810 pieces, the number coinciding with the birth year of the historical figure of the composer.

The watch features an elegant yellow gold plated steel case, which demonstrates beautiful satin polished finish, and which measures 40 mm in diameter. Furthermore, the stylish architecture of the round case incorporates a protective sapphire crystal and an exhibition case-back, which allows an inquiring connoisseur’s eye to peek at the delicate dance of the watch’s mechanical movement, but at the same time, confers the timepiece a good, 60-meters water resistance.

Furthermore, the watch features a classic silver dial, which reveals exquisite central Piano Guilloche decoration and, it is beautifully completed by black Roman numeral hour markers, and black Breguet-styled hands, which confer the watch a profound sense of class and distinction, asides from remarkable time legibility. In addition, asides from the central hours, minutes and seconds functions, the watch also features a date complication displayed in a small aperture located at 6 o’clock.

At the heart of the anniversary, Frederique Constant Limited Edition F. Chopin 2010 Watch beats the high precision, automatic winding, Caliber FC-303. Moreover, the superb timepiece comes matched with an elegant brown calfskin leather strap, with Croco decoration. As for the price tag, we cannot publish a number yet, although we expect it to range somewhere around $2,000.00.
