       Recently Chopard introduced another superb creation dedicated to one of these prestigious competitions- the superb 2010 Chopard Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph Watch– a model, which boasts powerful sporty lines and impressive mechanical complexity.

       A wonderful blend of racy-inspired bold design and unmatched technical performance, the amazing Chopard Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph Watch draws its inspiration from some of the most luxurious participants to the classic racing competitions.

       The model features a robust case, measuring 42.5 mm in diameter, manufactured either from stainless steel of 18-karat rose gold, which demonstrates nice satin-polished finish, and incorporates a winding crown embellished with racing steering wheel detail and two chronograph push pieces. Furthermore, the stylish architecture of the case incorporates a black anodized aluminum bezel accented with white and blue or orange highlights and a case-back, engraved with the “Grand Prix de Monaco Historique” inscription, also the construction provides good 50-meters water-resistance.

       The watch features a stylish, cream or silver dial, adorned with concentric guilloche motif, and beautifully completed by luminescent hands and bullet-shaped hour markers. The two variations of the model feature minute circles, performed in black and blue, for the gold model, and black and orange for the steel variation, matched with chronograph hands, and strap stitching performed in the same color.

       At the heart of the remarkable model beats a high-precision self-winding mechanical movement, a COSC-chronometer certified mechanism, which incorporates 25 jewels and oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, providing, thus the advantage of a 48-hour power reserve. The mechanism confers central hours, minutes, chronograph seconds hand. The small seconds function, is revealed through a counter located at 9 o’clock, the 30-minutes function, through a counter located at 12 o’clock, while the 12-hours function, is presented through a counter located at 6 o’clock, also the watch provides a date function, in a round aperture beneath a magnifying lens, positioned at 3 o’clock.

       Especially created for a charismatic, contemporary man, with an active life style, the new racy Chopard Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph 2010 watch, comes matched with a comfortable Barenia leather strap, with retro-inspired perforations. Moreover the gold variation was limited to 250 items, and, although an official price tag wasn’t released, we are expecting it to be somewhere around $15,000.00.
