Rating: 10.0/10 (1 vote cast)

A prestigious luxury goods manufacturers, Chopard was created by an enthusiast entrepreneur of the 19th century, Louis-Ulysse Chopard, and, through the years, it started to be associated with a fashion icon, and respected trendsetter, when it comes to exceptional jewelry, elegant accessories and luxury wristwatches. Fateful to its life-guiding principles and philosophy, the company produced countless timepieces defined by unmatched distinction and mechanical excellence, extremely appreciated by the watch connoisseurs

In order to mark its 150th anniversary, the brand released a true masterpiece of horological art, the amazing new Chopard L.U.C 150 “all in one”, which combines some of the most impressive complications of the Haute Horology. Among them, we have to mention the spectacular Equation of Time, and the Perpetual Calendar, that attaches to the wrist the fascinating dance of the heavenly bodies.

First introduced at Baselworld 2010 the watch features a robust, yet stylish case measuring 46 mm in diameter, manufactured either from stainless steel of 18-karat rose gold; it reveals a beautiful combination of brushed and polished surfaces and it provides 30-meters water-resistance. Moreover, the case and incorporates a winding crown personalized with the brand’s logo, and two anti-glare-treated, multi-layered sapphire crystals.

As an intriguing particularity of the model, we have to say that it features two dials: the upper dial reveals the aspect and functionality of a traditional chronograph watch, it features high-end guilloche finish, black applied Roman numeral hour markers, and stylish Black Dauphine fusée hour and minutes hands. It ensures central hours and minute’s functions, a superb tourbillon complication presented through a dial aperture at 6 o’clock, which indicated the small seconds function, perpetual calendar complication presented through a day counter, located at 9 o’clock, a 24-hour time display, and a month/ leap year counter located at 3 o’clock. However, if you flip the timepiece, you will be surprised to discover a highly functional lower dial, which provides Equation of time Complication, day/night counter, Power Reserve counter, sunset and sunrise in Geneva, as well as a captivating astronomical picture of the night sky, and moon phase indicator.

The exceptional timepiece is animated by an unmatched performance, COSC-chronometer certified Hand-wound, tourbillon L.U.C 4TQE, that oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per second, conferring the advantage of astonishing 189 hours power reserve- about 7 days.

Either especially created for impassionate watch collectors, the superb Chopard L.U.C 150 “all in one”, comes matched with elegant, brown or black alligator leather strap, with half-glossy exquisite finish. Nevertheless, due to being a very limited edition, of just 15 pieces, of each variation: 15 in white gold, 15 in rose gold, and 15 in the last, more glamorous variation, fitted with diamond embellishments, as for the price tag, we can only expect it would it to be higher than $300,000.00.
