Internationally known as one of the most prestigious fashion houses in the world, Chanel is the accomplishment of the most audacious forward-thinkers of the 20th century, Coco Chanel, a woman who soon became a haute couture icon and a trendsetter for absolutely all the aspects of the modern urban culture. This brand has signed, through the years, some of the most beautiful and stylish clothing lines, sophisticated accessories, or delicate perfumes, and up to watch-making design and production, there was just one-step.
A brand, internationally known for celebrating beauty, distinction and elegance, Chanel entered in the elitist world of the Haute Horology in the late 1980s and soon acquired an enthusiast clientele, highly appreciative of the brand’s unmistakable style and creative freedom.
Recently, the brand released another superb horological creation, the J12 Marine watch, a charming diver’s watch inspired by the eternally fascinating world of the ocean’s abyss. Especially created to be a valuable tool for a professional diver, the impressive J12 Marine watch boasts 300 meters water-resistance.
The sophisticated watch was created in two variations; the first comes with a high-tech black sandblasted ceramic and steel case, nicely matched with a blue bezel, measuring either 38 or 42 mm in diameter, or with a stylish black bezel measuring 42 mm, and comes matched with a comfy black rubber strap with perforations for water drainage. Meanwhile, the other variation of the timepiece comes matched with white high-tech polished ceramic and steel case, measuring 48 mm in diameter, and comes coupled with a white bezel. The second variation is also available matched with white rubber strap, but both models can be accompanied by ceramic bracelets.
The sturdy architecture of the watch’s case incorporates a unidirectional rotating bezel, which makes a nice contrast against the watch’s lacquered dial. The watch features oversized luminescent hands and hour indices, and an Arabic numeral hour marker for the 12 o’clock position. Furthermore, for optimal time legibility, the watch is shielded by a sapphire crystal, with blue anti glare treatment on both sides, or clear treatment for the white variation.
At the heart of the sporty new Chanel J12 Marine Watch beats a high precision mechanical Swiss automatic movement that oscillates at a high frequency of 28,800 beats per hour, providing the advantage of a 42-hour power reserve.
Especially created for an enthusiast diver, the watch ensures remarkable functionality, accurately measuring hours, minutes, seconds and elapsed diving intervals, and it will probably be available for an approximate price tag around $5,000.00.
